Dr Joseph a Barrett is a very good psychiatrist
He is very kind, And listens very well. He is also very compassionate and has had enough world experience to understand your problems.
Dr. Barrett is very easy to speak to from the first time I met him. I felt very comfortable. I felt like I could talk to him . As You know, when you go to a psychiatrist, you are probably bearing your soul, trusting the doctor to help and listen without judgment.
From my first visit in Dr. Barret’s office he has offered a very caring and comfortable and safe environment to talk about things that are Emotional.
In my experience, as I am an older person, he fits the bill for a human being who is able to help.
I am very grateful that I found him.
When you walk into his office, his staff is just as caring as he is! I have been going to him for a while now and actually look forward to each and every visit. He is available by phone or in the office. I have not inquired about video chat. I do know from experience that finding a psychiatrist to talk to can be very difficult. Once again, I would like to say it has been my experience with Dr. Barrett to be a very warm and caring session. Actually every time I see him I leave feeling better. I do not feel scared or restricted with my emotional issues. If any of my friends asked me if I knew someone they could talk to I would definitely tell them to go see Dr. Barrett.

Not impressed after several years with this office but I don’t feel there are options in this town really that are sufficient. If a better psychiatrist team comes along I will switch ASAP. Staff is extremely hard to reach and my pharmacy often has issues getting my doctors refills. It’s just wrong. After years with the same doctor I don’t understand this.

I learned the hard way: don’t take an effexor prescription if you are bipolar. And if you do, don’t let psychs try to tell you the consequences are all your fault.
