I'm a mom of two and had an emergency issue with my hip. I couldn't walk or function and needed immediate care. Dr. Paul Abend adjusted his schedule and saw me that day. He listened and treated me with care. Within 24 hours I was feeling better and able to function. Now I'm fully recovered and so thankful to know I can count on him in the future if need be.

I have been under Dr. Abend's care since 2003 for herniated discs in neck and most currently for lower back. He has gone above and beyond in his commitment to patients in diagnosis and treatment. Because of Dr. Abend I no longer have pain and spasms in my neck. He does not waist time or put a patient off in his quest for determining a treatment plan. Most recently Dr. Abend went out of his way to see me on a Saturday after I suffered injury to my low back during P'T for post full hip replacement. Dr. Abend has always sought out the best care, necessary tests and conservative treatment! I trust him and know that he cares about his patients! Thank you Dr. Abend, and to your brother Dr. Dave Abend for giving up a Saturday morning to care for me! You are the best!

Dr Paul Abend it all starts with standards. Which do not exist. I had and appointment for a injection into my spine the day of the injection I received a call that it was cancelled, after speaking with several people my appointment was not cancelled. I went on for a second injection this time I was not told to stop warfarin for several days before the procedure. I got on the operating table for the injection and right before it Dr Abend just so happen to ask me if I stopped the meds (warfarin) I said no because no one informed that I should stop, So I was sent home without the injection.I was billed for office visit a month later which came out of my checking account without my authorization and was overcharged in the amount of $50.00. the woman Donna is a lier who said she would never take from a account without authorization from me I authorized a $50.00 co-pay not the $100.00 that was taken. The woman accountant or billing Donna does not listen and does not own the problem she created. I'm forced to click one star so that this could be heard. Very poor service and the Dr Abend talks to you as if you know a L5 and and numerous other phrase's mean he talks to himself or in terms you do not understand. wow quick response to to this post from Dr Abends office to cancel my appointment for a procedure instead of correcting the problem. What a shame so unprofessional to say others or to everyone any who people this office should be under investigation if this office was truly professional Dr Abend would address or at least call the patient.

Both my husband and I have been patients of Dr. Abend and Dr. Mejia and have been extremely pleased with the care that we have received. Both Doctors were very caring and sympathetic to our needs. I have recommended my sister who was also very happy with the care that she received. The office staff are very professional, caring and pleasant to talk with.

1st patient in 30 years to vent using a site, rather than speak directly to me. Cursed out my staff and left vulgar and inappropriate messages on our office machine(we have saved all recordings).. Spoke to referring physician, who agreed to refer to another physician. As far as the other patient who only had 1 visit, she had spoken to our RN and did receive a message back from myself. She has not followed up.

I would not recommend Dr Abend to anyone. If you need to speak with him, He personally does not return calls to his patients-- he has his receptionist (who has no medical background) relay a message to you. Unacceptable!!
