Dr Hozman admitted that he was sorry for my father's death and said he wasn't expecting that outcome. He sent my Dad from ICU to CCU, then a regular bed, after removing the IV. My Dad died from dehydration, then being rehydrated too quickly. His heart and lungs gave out. He was being treated for a broken rib after a fall, with COPD as a complication. Then five years later when my Mom was admitted into inpatient hospice by her cardiologist and neurologist, he tried to get more money out of her by suggesting Palliative Care, which would have forced her to be moved to another facility. The Palliative Care person came to evaluate her and agreed that inpatient hospice was the only option. My Mom could no longer swallow and was thrashing in her bed every time she was touched. She was dying from a series of strokes. She passed away six days later. This doctor has no clue what he is doing. Please BEWARE, HE IS UNSTABLE AND UNRELIABLE!!!

Horrible. Staff goofs around. In the hour past my appointment time in which I never got to see the doc I got to hear him talk for 35 minutes to his very expensive lawyer, Tammy,who charges by the minute, about his practice having to move. They have a 15 page booklet for the patient to fill out by hand full of the same questions over & over again. Then you repeat the same info to the nurse who doesnt believe your reponces so she asks them again and again but worded differently. Then the rude student Physician Assistant comes in and asks the same questions you already answered in the 15 page booklet and to the nurse. When explaining that I had another appointment I had to get to I was ignored. I finally had to leave. When I tried calling back I was constantly placed and replaced on hold. I finally got the office manager who never apologized and only gave weak excuses that were complete lies. As a nurse with decades of experience in multiple areas of healthcare...including physician offices THEY ARE COMPLETELY DELUSIONAL, UNPROFESSIONAL AND INCOMPETENT.

I was so lucky to have Dr Hozman as my internist in 2018 when stress related issues caused myriad complex neurological, psychiatric, neuroendocrine, digestive and severe chronic spine pain. He saved my life several times as my internist this past year, and saved me from suicide, Even when my issues were outside his already highly complex clinical purview (rheumatology) he gave my case his all and his intuition decisions on treatment were right on target. He is seasoned and highly intelligent, with clinical acumen, objectivity and an uncanny sixth sense that are truly remarkable. Moreover, he is empathetic and has great integrity as a physician and individual. After my case was literally abandoned by several specialists, despite having a large and busy practice he took over and gave my case his all, because he knew my life was at stake. He literally saved me from death at age 51 - and averted a tragedy in the untimely death of the mother of a 16 year old boy. I don't have words to express my gratitude to Dr Hozman.

If you enjoy a Staff who ignores you, doesn't fill prescriptions on time, and doesn't give you test results, then this is the Dr. for you. Several calls to put me on a medication and the staff doesn't return calls or completely ignores you. Stay far away from this practice. The Dr. means well, but his staff is rude and clueless. I am now scrambling to make an appointment with a new Rheumatologist to be put on a medication that works.

Horrible reception staff. I don't know who it was that my dad was having a dispute with over a bill, but she knowingly made a false police report against him about 3 weeks to a month ago, claiming that he had a gun and threatened her with it. My dad is not a registered firearms owner, nor is anyone in this household, and even still, while he may not be entirely stable mentally and emotionally, he's not that crazy and stupid to make a threat like that. A warrant was made for his arrest based on this false claim and the warrant was served when he was at the Waukegan courts 7/14/2015 for an unrelated matter, and with my dad being in poor health, the stress of what he went through could have sent him to the hospital from either a heart attack or a stroke.

Dr Hozman has been my Primary care physician for about 5 years. He has always been caring & listens to all my questions. His staff is all top notch. Its great I can see his office for complete blood draws. His phlebotomist is terrific. No pain ever. His schedulers are the best. Plus they email & call with reminders. I saw the other review. I believe they are whining snobs. Dr Hozman's office is busy. People need manners which he & his staff have given the time attn given to each patient. I have had my share of drs being 66 years young. Ignore the hideous reviews & trust me. You will be pleased having Dr Hozman as your physician.
