I was visiting from out of state and found this salon close to my family’s home. The place is under new management and has clearly gone through a renovation since the pictures posted on Google. The interior is white and clean and almost too bright for the eyes, but very modern. I had a male technician and he did a fantastic job ! I got dip powder nails, which i came to realize most places do not do locally. He spent plenty of time making sure my nails were meticulously done, cuticles clean and dip layers were smooth and thin like I asked for. I felt the pricing was reasonable and fair for the area. If i wasn’t from out of town I would be making this my new nail salon!

Lake Forest nails is now owned by Aura nails in Deerfield. If you were happy there, you will find the same nail technicians working here. They are in the process of giving this dated space a fresher look. They no longer do acrylics. Instead they do Gel X nails, which are similar, but I believe healthier for your nails. Uuree always knows exactly what I want and makes great suggestions. Pictured below are my glazed donut gel x nails.

I wasn't happy at all with this service. First off, the lady (who I believe was the new business owner) was extremely rough. Two of my fingers started bleeding during the appointment from how rough she was being and they were in pain the rest of the appointment (and she was not at all sensitive with them even though she acknowledged multiple times she could tell I was in pain). She continued being extremely rough throughout the appointment, I think to rush to the next customer. At certain points, my eyes were watering from the pain. Additionally, I wanted long really sharp stiletto nails and picked the shape and length on one of my nails (my right hand pinky). She then cut all the other nails to "match" the length without actually checking that they matched (they didn't). Then she filed all of my nails down so much that they were no longer stilettos and became closer to almonds. After the appointment I compared all my nail lengths too and on top of her already filing the first nail shorter and duller than I wanted, the others are all shorter than that first nail, some quite significantly so. And all of them are duller too. Additionally, there were a couple nails that were clearly crooked when I checked them after the appointment. The price was higher than other places I've gone but the service was far worse. I would not recommend.

I get acrylic nails (which is very hard to find someone in Lake Forest that does them)and Annie does a great job! They always look good! Pedicures are nice too! I would definitely recommend Lake Forest Nails!

Anh at this nail salon is simply the best! With her expert touch, my nails always look stunning. The whole experience, from the ambiance to the friendly staff, is top-notch. Highly recommend!
